Author Guidelines

Welcome to Forefront in Sociology & Political Sciences! We invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners in the fields of sociology and political sciences to submit original and impactful research for publication. Below are our submission guidelines and policies for authors:

1. Scope of the Journal

Forefront in Sociology & Political Sciences publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed articles that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the fields of sociology and political science. We welcome original research, review articles, theoretical papers, and applied studies in various sub-disciplines, including but not limited to:

  • Sociology of Development
  • Political Theory
  • Comparative Politics
  • International Relations
  • Social Movements
  • Public Policy and Governance
  • Political Economy
  • Social Inequality and Justice

2. Types of Articles Accepted

We accept the following types of submissions:

  • Research Articles: Original research that contributes to the academic literature in the field.
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews of the literature on specific sociological or political science topics.
  • Theoretical Papers: Papers that contribute new theoretical perspectives or insights.
  • Case Studies and Applied Research: Research that applies theoretical concepts to practical or real-world problems.
  • Short Communications: Brief articles presenting preliminary findings or significant, emerging topics.
  • Book Reviews: Reviews of recently published books that are relevant to the field of sociology and political sciences.

3. Submission Process

To submit your manuscript, please follow these steps:

  1. Registration: All authors must create an account on the journal's online submission system.
  2. Submission: Log in to your account and submit your manuscript through the Online Submission system. Ensure your manuscript follows the formatting guidelines (see below).
  3. Peer Review: After submission, your article will be assigned to peer reviewers for evaluation. Based on their feedback, your manuscript may be accepted, revised, or rejected.
  4. Revision: Authors may be asked to revise their articles based on reviewer feedback. Please ensure that all revisions are addressed in a timely manner.
  5. Acceptance: After the manuscript is successfully reviewed and revised, it will be accepted for publication in an upcoming issue.

4. Manuscript Preparation

Please prepare your manuscript according to the following guidelines:

  • Language: All submissions must be written in English. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscript reviewed for grammar and clarity before submission.
  • Length: Research articles should be between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including references. Short communications should be no more than 3,000 words.
  • Formatting: Manuscripts should be submitted in Word (docx) or LaTeX format. Please follow the journal’s formatting requirements, which can be downloaded from the submission page.
  • Title Page: Include a title page with the title of the article, full name(s) of the author(s), institutional affiliations, and corresponding author’s contact information (email, phone).
  • Abstract: Include an abstract of no more than 250 words summarizing the main findings and contributions of the research.
  • Keywords: Provide 3 to 5 keywords that describe the main topics of your manuscript.
  • References: Use the APA citation style for references. Ensure that all citations in the text are included in the reference list and vice versa.

5. Ethical Considerations

By submitting your manuscript, you agree to adhere to the following ethical principles:

  • Originality: Submissions must be original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Plagiarism: Plagiarism in any form will not be tolerated. All sources must be properly cited.
  • Authorship: Only those who have made substantial contributions to the research and manuscript preparation should be listed as authors. All authors must approve the final manuscript before submission.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that might bias the research.
  • Human and Animal Rights: If the research involves human participants or animals, authors must comply with ethical standards and include appropriate approvals in the manuscript.

6. Article Processing Charges (APC)

In order to maintain the quality of our open access platform, we charge an Article Processing Charge (APC) for articles accepted for publication:

  • Domestic Authors (India): ₹4,000 INR
  • International Authors: $150 (USD)

The APC covers editorial, production, and online hosting costs. Payments can be made via bank transfer, PayPal, or credit/debit card. Detailed payment instructions will be sent to authors upon article acceptance.

7. Copyright and Licensing

Upon acceptance of an article, authors grant the journal non-exclusive rights to publish, distribute, and make the article available online. Authors retain copyright of their work and may republish the article elsewhere with proper attribution to the journal.

The journal operates under an open access model, meaning that all articles are freely accessible to readers and can be shared and distributed without restrictions, as long as appropriate attribution is provided.

8. Revision and Resubmission

If your article requires revision following peer review, authors must resubmit their revised manuscript within the given timeframe. The revised manuscript should include a point-by-point response to reviewers’ comments and a marked-up version of the manuscript highlighting changes made.
