Mission Statement

Forefront in Sociology & Political Sciences is committed to advancing knowledge and fostering scholarly discourse in the fields of sociology and political science. Our mission is to provide a dynamic platform for cutting-edge research, theoretical exploration, and empirical analysis that addresses critical issues in contemporary society and politics. We aim to bridge the gap between academic inquiry and real-world application, encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue and innovation in understanding the complex forces shaping human societies, political systems, and governance structures.

Our journal is dedicated to promoting high-quality, peer-reviewed research that challenges conventional wisdom and explores new perspectives on social, political, and cultural phenomena. Through our publications, we aspire to contribute to the development of transformative ideas that influence policy, social movements, and democratic governance globally.

Scope of the Journal

The journal encompasses a broad range of topics within sociology and political science, including but not limited to:

  • Social Structures and Institutions: Analyzing how institutions (e.g., family, education, religion, economy) shape social behavior, identity, and inequality. Exploring topics such as class, race, gender, and ethnicity.

  • Political Systems & Governance: Investigating the functioning of political institutions, governance structures, and policy-making processes. Studies on electoral systems, political parties, public administration, and political ideologies.

  • Social Movements & Political Activism: Exploring the dynamics of social change through activism, resistance movements, and grassroots organizing. Understanding how movements for social justice, environmental sustainability, human rights, and democracy impact political landscapes.

  • Globalization and Political Economy: Examining the effects of globalization on social and political structures, as well as the impact of international trade, finance, and institutions on local and global power dynamics.

  • Public Policy & Civic Engagement: Evaluating policies related to health, education, migration, the environment, and welfare, and assessing the role of citizen participation and civic engagement in shaping policy outcomes.

  • Political Theory and Philosophy: Investigating the foundations and evolution of political thought, ethics, and governance theories. Topics include democracy, liberty, justice, human rights, and the role of the state.

  • Social and Political Inequality: Focusing on issues of power, privilege, and marginalization in society. Exploring how various forms of inequality (e.g., economic, racial, gender-based) affect political participation, policy, and social justice.

  • Conflict, Peace, and Security: Examining the roots of political conflict, international relations, peace-building processes, and security concerns at local, national, and international levels.

  • Methodological Innovation: Encouraging diverse and innovative research methods in sociology and political science, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method approaches, as well as experimental and comparative studies.

Interdisciplinary Approach

We recognize that sociology and political science are inherently interdisciplinary fields. As such, we encourage submissions that draw on theories, methods, and frameworks from a variety of academic disciplines, including anthropology, economics, history, law, psychology, and international relations. Our aim is to foster a holistic understanding of the social and political challenges of our time, recognizing the interconnectedness of global systems and local contexts.

Who Should Submit?

We invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to submit original research articles, theoretical essays, literature reviews, and book reviews. We welcome contributions from early-career scholars as well as seasoned academics, with the aim of fostering diverse perspectives and enriching the academic conversation within sociology and political science.
