  1. Initial Screening: The editorial team will screen the manuscript for basic formatting, scope, and quality.
  2. Peer Review: If the manuscript passes the initial screening, it will be sent to experts in the field for review.
  3. Revisions: Based on reviewer feedback, authors may be required to make revisions and resubmit the manuscript.
  4. Final Decision: The editor-in-chief makes the final decision based on reviewer feedback and revisions.

The peer review process typically takes 4–8 weeks, though it may vary depending on the complexity of the submission.

5. Is there an Article Processing Charge (APC)?

Yes, Forefront in Sociology & Political Sciences has an Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover the costs of open access publication. The APC applies once an article is accepted for publication and varies depending on the article type. Please refer to the Article Processing Charges section on our website for detailed information on the fees and payment options.

6. How long does the review process take?

The review process typically takes between 4 and 8 weeks, depending on the availability of reviewers and the complexity of the submission. After the review process is completed, authors will receive feedback and a decision (acceptance, revision, or rejection).

In some cases, the process may take longer if additional rounds of review are needed or if reviewers request significant revisions. We strive to make the process as efficient as possible while maintaining the quality and rigor of the review.

7. Can I submit multiple manuscripts at once?

We do not allow authors to submit multiple manuscripts simultaneously to the journal. Each manuscript must be submitted separately and only after the previous manuscript has been reviewed or accepted. If you have multiple manuscripts you wish to submit, you may do so one at a time.

8. What are the formatting guidelines for manuscript submission?

Authors should follow the manuscript formatting guidelines outlined on our Submission Guidelines page. These include:

  • Title page: Include the title of the manuscript, full author names, affiliations, and corresponding author’s contact information.
  • Abstract: Provide a concise abstract (150-250 words) summarizing the main findings and significance of your research.
  • References: Use APA style for citations and references.
  • Figures and tables: Ensure that all figures and tables are clearly labeled and referred to in the main text.

Please carefully follow these guidelines to ensure your manuscript is considered for review.

9. Do I need ethical approval for my study?

Yes, all manuscripts involving human subjects, animal studies, or any other ethical considerations must include a statement confirming that the research has been approved by the relevant ethics committee or institutional review board. If applicable, authors should also provide evidence of informed consent from participants.

For research involving qualitative data (e.g., interviews, focus groups), authors should ensure that confidentiality and privacy are protected, and that ethical guidelines were followed during data collection.

10. How do I track the status of my submission?

After submission, you can track the status of your manuscript through our online submission system. You will be notified via email when your manuscript has been received, when it has been sent out for review, and when a decision has been made. You can also log in to the submission portal at any time to check the progress.
