Submission Process

At Forefront in Sociology & Political Sciences, we aim to provide a transparent, efficient, and user-friendly submission process. Authors are encouraged to follow the steps below for submitting manuscripts for consideration.


Step 1: Register

To begin the submission process, authors must first create an account in the submission portal. Follow these steps to register:

  1. Visit the Submission Portal: Go to the journal’s submission page.
  2. Create an Account: Click on the "Register" link to create an account. You will need to provide the following details:
    • Full Name
    • Email Address
    • Affiliation (Institution, Organization)
    • Create a Password
  3. Login: After registration, log in to the system using the credentials you just created.

If you already have an account, simply click on "Login" and enter your credentials.


Step 2: Prepare Your Manuscript

Before submitting, ensure that your manuscript follows the journal’s submission requirements:

  • Format: Prepare your manuscript according to the journal’s Submission Guidelines (e.g., formatting, style, length).
  • Cover Letter: While optional, we encourage authors to include a brief cover letter to introduce the manuscript, its importance, and why it fits the scope of Forefront in Sociology & Political Sciences.
  • Anonymization: For a double-blind peer review process, please ensure that your manuscript does not contain author-identifying information.
  • Supplementary Materials: If applicable, prepare any additional documents (e.g., datasets, appendices) for submission.

Ensure that all ethical considerations are met, including obtaining approval for research involving human subjects.


Step 3: Submit Your Manuscript

After logging into your account, proceed with manuscript submission:

  • Start a New Submission: In your dashboard, click on the "Start a New Submission" link to begin the process.
  • Select Submission Section: Choose the appropriate section for your submission, e.g., Research Articles, Short Communications, Review Articles.

Upload Manuscript:

  • Upload the main manuscript file preferably in .doc, .docx, or .pdf format
  • If applicable, upload additional files such as supplementary materials (e.g., datasets, figures).
  • Fill in Metadata: Provide the following details for your manuscript:
    • Title of the Manuscript
    • Abstract (200-300 words)
    • Keywords (3-6 keywords)
    • Authors’ Information: Names, affiliations, and emails of all contributing authors.
  • Cover Letter (Optional): If desired, you can submit a cover letter introducing your manuscript to the editorial team.

After filling in the metadata and uploading files, review your submission details.


Step 4: Review & Finalize Submission

Before finalizing your submission:

  1. Review Submission Details: Carefully review your manuscript details, uploaded files, and metadata (title, abstract, authorship, etc.).
  2. Declare Conflicts of Interest: Declare any potential conflicts of interest during submission.
  3. Confirm Ethical Compliance: Confirm that your manuscript complies with the journal’s ethical guidelines.
  4. Complete Submission: Once everything is in order, click "Submit". Your submission will be entered into the editorial system for review.

Step 5: Manuscript Review

After submission, the manuscript will undergo the following review steps:

  1. Initial Editorial Check: The editorial team will review your manuscript for compliance with the journal's Submission Guidelines and relevance to the journal’s scope.

  2. Peer Review:

    • If the manuscript passes the initial check, it will be sent to peer reviewers who will evaluate its scientific quality, methodology, relevance, and originality.
    • Reviewers’ feedback will be used to determine whether your manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected.

    Authors are encouraged to be responsive to reviewer comments and make necessary revisions.


Step 6: Editorial Decision

After the review process, the editorial team will notify you of the decision regarding your submission:

  • Accepted: Your manuscript has been accepted for publication. The editorial team will notify you of the next steps.
  • Revisions Required: The reviewers have suggested revisions. You will be asked to revise your manuscript based on the feedback and resubmit it for further review.
  • Rejected: If the manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards or scope, it may be rejected. Feedback will be provided for your reference.

Step 7: Revise and Resubmit (if applicable)

If your manuscript requires revisions, you will need to:

  1. Revise Your Manuscript: Incorporate the reviewers’ comments and revise the manuscript accordingly.
  2. Response to Reviewers: Prepare a document responding to each reviewer’s comment, explaining the changes made or justifying why certain suggestions were not incorporated.
  3. Submit Revised Manuscript: After revising, log in to your portal account and upload the revised manuscript, along with the response to reviewers.
  4. Revisions Deadline: Typically, authors are given 2-3 weeks to revise and resubmit their manuscript. If you need more time, please contact the editorial team.

Step 8: Final Proofreading and Acceptance

If your manuscript is accepted after revisions:

  1. Final Proofreading: The manuscript will undergo copyediting for grammar, style, and formatting.
  2. Approval of Final Proof: Once the copyediting is complete, you will receive a final proof of your manuscript for review. Carefully review the proof for any errors or formatting issues.
  3. Publication: After approval, your manuscript will be scheduled for publication in the next available issue of Forefront in Sociology & Political Sciences.

Step 9: Post-Publication

Once your article is published:

  1. DOI Assignment: A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) will be assigned to your article, allowing it to be easily cited and referenced.
  2. Share Your Work: We encourage you to share your published article with your academic network, colleagues, and on social media platforms to increase its visibility.

Additional Information

  • Open Access: All articles published in Forefront in Sociology & Political Sciences are open access, meaning they are freely available to readers without subscription or paywall.

  • Submission Fees: Currently, there are no submission or publication fees for manuscripts submitted to Forefront in Sociology & Political Sciences.
